Overview of the ADKOM Training Unit
- Established in 2004, ADKOM has provided training and peer exchange opportunities since its inception. The concept of a dedicated training unit naturally evolved from these activities.
- In 2017, ADKOM launched D-LeaP trainings, marking a significant milestone in formalizing its training initiatives. This progress, supported by RCDN, led to the establishment of a catalog of training programs in 2018, accompanied by the adoption of quality standards for the training delivery, approved by ADKOM’s Governing Board.
- The ADKOM Training Unit offers a wide variety of both specific and generic training programs, all listed in our comprehensive training catalog. These programs are tailored to meet the diverse needs of our stakeholders.
- Over the years, the Training Unit has successfully conducted D-LeaP, RCDN and its own trainings in areas such as:
- Wastewater
- Commercial Efficiency
- Water Safety and Crisis Management
- Access to Finance
- Currently, in 2025, supported by RCDN ADKOM is working towards the legal accreditation of its Training Unit with expert support provided through the RCDN project.
- ADKOM’s Training Unit remains a cornerstone of capacity development, continuously driving professional development and fostering knowledge sharing across the sector.
